The City & Guilds 7300- Introduction to Trainer Skills - Train the Trainer course is delivered over just 2 days, and is based on the training cycle covering: -
- Planning - including session planning
- Delivery - participants will deliver a 10-15 minute session that they have planned
- Evaluation - self, peer group and course evaluation

The City & Guilds 7300 - Introduction to Trainer Skills course can only be offered by approved organisations called centres. Roger Grice Associates Ltd is such an approved centre, so that you can be confident of the quality of the delivery.
Progress
Upon successful completion of the City & Guilds 7300 - Introduction to Trainer Skills Train the Trainer course, you will be able to start training others straightaway as long as you are occupationally competent and qualified in the discipline or occupation that you are training others in. For example you would have to have a British Sub Aqua Club instructors qualification or a Professional Association of Diving Instructors qualification and satisfy the appropriate awarding body to train someone to use SCUBA and issue a qualification to that effect.

To gain employment as a FE teacher, you would need to undertake the City & Guilds 7303 Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) award, which provides progression to the new 7304 City & Guilds Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector and the level 5 Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector. These qualifications confer the required skills and knowledge to fill the newly named Associate Teacher and Full Teacher roles in the Lifelong Learning Sector.

A. There is no formal educational standard specified for course entry. It is however a course requirement for candidates to be able to present and produce their own work and take part in classroom discussion; it is therefore expected that all candidates will have a level of English Language equivalent to the United Kingdom GCSE Grade C or above

A. No you should not be worried! We keep our group size small, and we know the techniques to be used to help you become confident quickly in these circumstances.

A. The 7300 Course is offered by many Colleges, but in common with all open public courses are subject to the minimum numbers required to be economically viable. In addition the course will probably be offered over evening only attendance and take several weeks to several months to complete. The group sizes will also be larger.

A. There is no upper age limit, but prospective candidates should have completed compulsory education and have achieved proficiency and competence in the disciplines that they wish to teach or instruct.
Q. I am not computer literate, is that going to be a problem?
A. Although you are encouraged to use computers, and will have the opportunity to prepare and use PowerPoint presentations, you can complete all of the work without using a computer as long as the handwriting is clear and legible.
